A walk in the park and a slightly insane best friend was all it took to change the course of her life forever…
Elizabeth had been treated like shit for the final time. Finding her long-time boyfriend in bed with another woman was the absolute last straw. She’d decided that being strong and relying only on herself was the best thing for her from then on, but her best friend Andi and life have other plans…
Andi’s constant pestering when dragging Elizabeth to the park for a walk opens a door she never thought possible. The problem is she just got out of a relationship… After all, there is a very big rule after a big breakup.
Don’t rebound date!
Jax makes it impossible to stay away. But as the saying goes… Rules are made to be broken.
I think I'm going to start giving my updates on my actual website, so I can start driving more traffic here. I like the idea of building an audience and having more people visit the page.
Be forewarned--this bitch will probably be FULL of typos! Haha! I am always editing and making sure everything is "just so." This is my free space. You get to see me without the "makeup." lol!
ANYWAY! wanted to stop by and let you know The Deceiver is moving right along! Those of you emotionally invested in Elysia (like I am... she's like the perfect mom!) and wanting to know more about her... I think you'll be pleased with what you'll see in the section I wrote just last night.
I always try to write dramatic books with a lot of action and comedy, but sometimes I like to step back and really allow the readers to connect to the characters like I do. They are in my head all day, every day, and I love them. Aside from just reading about them, I love the idea of showing you WHY I love them. <3
This book is being written at an emotional time for myself and for my family, though, I have to say, most of us are taking it well. My grandmother (the one I spoke briefly about in the last book in the author notes... I'm sure you remember the "summa ma bitch" story) recently passed on October 2nd. So, I plan to write a special piece for her in the author notes.
I know everyone's initial response is to offer prayers and condolences, but I promise that in this case, we are dealing well. She was a feisty old lady that hated funerals and found them creepy. She was blunt as hell and hilarious (you would have LOVED her). She sure as hell didn't want us mourning over her, and she was in a great deal of pain, so I'm just happy she is out of pain and with my grandfather now. She was ready, so to honor her, we were ready for her as well.
We had no funeral--because we knew she would have come back and haunted us and kicked our asses lmao. We had her cremated and placed in the same Urn as my grandfather. She wanted to be with grand-daddy, and when my mom is ready to do it, we will spread their ashes, so they can be together forever. He wanted to wait for her, and she wanted to be with him. <3 <3 <3
I appreciate all the well wishes and the patience while I was dealing with family stuff and making a slow schedule as a result. You guys have all been fantastic, and I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life! Thank you!
I'll update soon! And definitely keep checking back because loads of cool shit is coming in the next few months.
